I am a 27 year old self taught realism artist from Manchester, UK. I work with either charcoal or acrylic paint. I've been using charcoal since I was 13, however I only started painting in the first lockdown of 2020. The 'Painted Bee 1' you will see dotted around my store is the first painting I did. I aim to continue on this path of progression and expand my artistic horizons!

Growing up, I wanted to be a vet (I love animals), a physicist (I love science and space) or a rally driver/Top Gear host (I love cars), though I was always creative. I did my first charcoal drawing age 13 of my idol Tupac.

This was followed up with a drawing of another idol; Sylvester Stallone as Rocky, when I was 14 years old. I did the odd few drawings for myself or gifts, my first commissioned drawing at age 16, but I regretfully neglected drawing for a few years while in education.

 

I never studied Art in school or college as I didn't think it was sensible, so I did Physics and Math's A levels at college, then went to university and got a 2:1 degree in Computing. I had a few jobs, retail and admin, an interesting job for the claims dept. in the Government.

 

I never got real satisfaction from working for someone else, my degree never attained any interest from employers and I was rejected from hundreds of jobs I applied for. I figured that the universe was telling me I was on the wrong path, so I decided to pursue what I am good at... and here I am today!

In the summer of 2021, I graduated with a Master's degree in Business, been doing my Art full time for four and a half years, and I've never been happier!
